Dear CODE member (or prospective member):

As members of your CODE (Conference of Diocesan Executives) Board, we invite you to attend our upcoming 2010 conference to be held in Honolulu, Hawaii, beginning Tuesday afternoon, April 13th through the evening of Friday the 16th. We will be meeting at Hilton Hawaiian Village (http://www.hiltonhawaiianvillage.com/). 

Our conference theme for this year is “Hospitality Aloha Style.”

The CODE board has lined up some excellent speakers and workshops, taking to heart your suggestions about the type of topics and speakers you wish to have.  We will have several workshops and plenary sessions presented by members of the Diocese of Hawaii – including the Rt. Rev. Bob Fitzpatrick. Our chaplain will be the Rev. Bill Miller from Kauai, and Emily Given will be back with us to discuss time management while doing more with less resources. The Rev. Rob Voyle will present a workshop on a different approach to Episcopal searches, and the Rev. Canon Timothy Dombek will give a presentation on strategic planning for congregations. Sally Johnson will join us to discuss legal/canon changes resulting from General Convention, and the Rev. Canon Chuck Robertson will join us from the Episcopal Church Center. Members from the Episcopal Church Center, the Church Pension Group, the Episcopal Church Foundation, and Medical Trust will be making presentations and in attendance. Registration and hotel information is posted here. It is important that you make your room reservations with the Hilton Hawaiian Village, as we get our meetings rooms at a reduced or free rate based upon total room nights. Also, we need your help in getting the word out, so please forward, copy and distribute this information to anyone in your office or in other diocesan offices as you feel appropriate.   

The CODE Board prays for blessings on your ministry, and will be in regular communication with you up to our gathering in April.
